Amsterdam based artist Chris Marmier creates storytelling artworks with a distinctive stroke and a recognizable palette of colors. His work is rooted in close observation and the reinterpretation of the world around him, with compositions that often place human figures at their core and explore themes of identity, nature, culture and politics.

Coming from a bicultural family and shaped by life across multiple countries, Chris Marmier brings a personal perspective to his richly detailed and colorful artworks. Each piece invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the details and deeper meanings within the composition. After studying visual communication, Marmier began his career as a graphic designer while continuing to draw in his spare time. Since 2015, he has exhibited his work in galleries. He creates original pieces using acrylic ink on panel and also works digitally to produce art prints.
