Nikke Naeme often uses a stamping technique that gives his paintings a mirrored perspective, raising questions about identity, self-image and how we are seen by others. Influences from modern art history can be traced in his work, from the somber tone of Bacon and the cartoonish energy of Steadman to the sketching of Donwood and the raw expressionism of Basquiat.
