Starting Saturday, December 6th, the solo exhibition PERCEPTIONS 

by realist painter Alberto de Flavis opens at the Ambassade Art Gallery. This exhibition invites the public to experience painting as an act of transformation, where observation evolves into emotion and reality becomes a dialogue with perception.

Known for his mastery of oil painting, De Flavis elevates everyday objects such as flowers, fruit, vases, and cutlery into poetic meditations on beauty and simplicity. His works are not mere representations, but translations of experience, shaped by light, color, and texture to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary. Each brushstroke is a conscious choice, creating compositions that extend beyond their physical subjects and offer a glimpse into the artist's inner response to the world.

PERCEPTIONS explores the tension between accuracy and interpretation, inviting viewers to slow down, look more closely, and rediscover wonder in the familiar. Through subtle contrasts and quiet dialogues between nature and human craftsmanship, De Flavis challenges us to consider how what we see shapes what we feel. In this exhibition, perception is not passive; it is active, multi-layered, and deeply personal.

De Flavis is a young Italian artist (born in 1990) who has developed into a highly talented tattoo artist since 2008. In 2017, De Flavis moved to Amsterdam and, inspired by the Old Masters, mastered oil painting. He is self-taught. This is his second exhibition at the Ambassade Art Gallery, his first solo exhibition.
